This simply means WIH is an investment fund that can issue and redeem shares at anytime. An investor can only purchase shares directly from the WIH and not through an existing shareholders as is the practice with public companies. In other words WIH can reject some potential shares and can issue more shares even after the authorized share capital of 1 billion FCFA is attained. Shareholders can only sell their shares back to WIH and not to the third party. This type of fund is in contrast to a Closed-Ended Fund, which once the exact number of shares is issued from the outset they cannot be increased. Only the existing shares are traded thereafter and even with third party.
